Hourly Pool Service & Diagnostics

Address customer concerns and do an overall assessment of the pool system and its related components.  Valve operation, filter function, inlet and outlet optimization, and water quality status are initially assessed.  Recommendations for filter and/or pump replacement would be done at this time if the system is showing significant issues or upon customer request.  Services ranging from balancing pool water (chemicals not included and charged accordingly), scrubbing and/or vacuuming the pool, emptying skimmer baskets (poolside and pump strainer), backwashing/cleaning filter, and skimming the water for floating debris.    Carpenter Pools & Spas will work closely with you to understand the needs of you and your pool prior to our arrival so we are as prepared as possible

Pool Opening OR Closing

Above Ground Opening –  Remove cover and air pillow.  Assemble customers filter system, in “as in” condition with customer supplied hoses, fittings, and connectors.  Install poolside equipment (Ladder, Steps, etc.).  Set timer, controllers, and clocks.  Test water with chemistry summary attached.  Add shock, algaecide, and stain and scale chemicals for up to 25,000.

InGround Opening – Remove winter plugs and install owner’s outlet fittings.  Assemble customers filter system, in “as is” condition.  Assemble and install poolside equipment (Ladders, rails, etc.).  Set timers, controllers, and clocks.  Inspect heater for operation.  Test water chemistry with summary attached.  Add shock, algaecide, and stain and scale chemicals for up to 25,000 gallons.

Above Ground Closing – Install air pillow and cover.  Disassemble and clean customers’ filter system and put in an easily accessible location (sand filters tbd).  Remove poolside equipment (Ladder, Steps, etc.). Remove 110v timer and/or clock.  Add winter shock, algaecide, and stain and scale chemicals for up to 25,000.

InGround Closing – Disassemble and store all poolside equipment on the pool deck.  Hose clean DE Filter Grids or Cartridge Filter(s).  Drain and winterize pump, filter system, and other components.  Remove outlet fittings and empty lines of water utilizing compressed air.  Plug outlets with customer supplied plugs.  Add winter shock, algaecide, stain inhibitor, and antifreeze for up to 25,000 gallons.

  • Basic InGround:  One body of water, single pump filter system, multiple surface skimmers, multiple return outlets, one main drain, and heater.
  • Attached spas, chlorinators, in-floor cleaning systems, and other items or add-on accessories are not included in Basic Opening and any additional costs will be discussed during initial consultation prior to scheduling.

Pool Maintenance

Maintenance visits include testing pool water chemistry, adjusting chemicals (alkalinity, pH, calcium harness)(chemicals not included and charged accordingly), remove debris from all hair and lint pots as well as automatic cleaners, backwash the filter system, scrub the entire pool surface including steps and benches, check for leaks, make sure valves are in proper operating position.  50% down at time of signing and the remaining 50% due June 15th.

Vacation Guard

Going away for two weeks, three weeks, or even just a couple days and need someone to tend to the specific needs of your pool?  Call now to arrange for a quote.  Chemical adjustment, vacuuming, scrubbing, shocking, and filter backwashing or cleaning all can be included in the vacation guard service.  Don’t come home to a green swamp because you didn’t have someone to simply turn the filter on and off each day.  Don’t worry about the pool while on your trip

**Chemicals, parts, and accessories aren’t included in the pricing for any of the above listed services and are to be billed separately once agreed upon by the customer and Carpenter Pools & Spas.**
